What Our Learning Partners Say
Cora and Dalton provided personalized support to Hong Kong Academy to embrace generative AI over the course of the 2023-24 school year. They helped the leadership team develop shared understanding and skill set about this arrival technology, and were very skillful in helping us to craft a usable and mission-aligned set of AI Guidelines.
With iterative collaboration, they designed two engaging and impactful professional learning workshops for the whole faculty (primary and secondary school) that met the needs of the HKA educators and empowered us to continue leveraging this technology in ethical ways. They were a pleasure to work with in preparing for the workshops and very responsive to tailoring the learning for our school's needs. The workshops received positive feedback from faculty who appreciated the opportunity to learn both theory and practice with practical tools that had already been vetted by HKA with Cora and Dalton's support to integrate into daily use.

Dalton delivered an AI workshop during our Professional Development day in March 2023. Leading up to his session, Dalton checked in to ensure his material and information were tailored to our staff's needs and level of existing knowledge on the topic. His materials were detailed, practical, and relevant to our school's context. The workshop included an easy-to-understand introduction to the history and development of AI, and a well-organized collection of useful resources and information. Dalton built in time for us to try out the various tools and collaborate. Dalton kept us engaged and entertained; the pacing was great and teachers felt that their time was well-spent. He focused on the educational uses of AI technology both in lessons and in assessment. Up until his visit, many teachers were focusing on how to keep students from using AI inappropriately.
After Dalton's workshop, we all felt more confident in using AI as a teaching and learning tool, instead of trying to shield students from it. Most importantly, teachers reported that they were able to take away the information and resources that Dalton provided and make use of them in the classroom right away. Thanks, Dalton, for a thorough, practical, and interesting introduction to AI in education.

Cora and Dalton did a fantastic job of delivering the knowledge and skills they have gained from experience with enthusiasm. At a time when many educators are navigating the complex world of AI, their workshop was very practical with shared tools, resources, ideas and applicable activities for students and teachers. They catered the workshop to the specific needs, interests and grade levels of our community, which is a skill in and of itself. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced AI educator, they made everyone feel comfortable yet curious about the possibilities of utilizing AI for instructional, educational and everyday purposes. Lots of learning, excitement and lightbulb moments occurred during the workshop we had with them, which made it worthwhile and valuable for all. Their passion was contagious, and it sparked inspiration for our teachers to continue developing their own knowledge and skills on this AI journey.

Cora and Dalton brought our two-day AI Exploration PD events to life with their engaging sessions, delivering exceptional value to our school community. Their expertise in AI's educational applications, opportunities, and risks was evident throughout their well-structured presentations. What set them apart was their ability to make complex concepts accessible while maintaining a respectful, engaging approach that resonated with administrators, teachers, and parents alike. Their deep knowledge of AI platforms helped us identify reliable, high-quality tools while avoiding lost time and effort on less promising options. Beyond the excellent training sessions, they provided valuable guidance to our leadership team in developing AI policies and guidelines, and left us with a comprehensive resource library. Our participants who initially felt intimidated by AI left feeling empowered and eager to implement their newly acquired skills.

We had the pleasure of hosting Cora and Dalton for a one-day workshop on ‘Integrating AI in the Elementary Classroom’ at ISA Liwan International School of Guangzhou. The workshop was a learning experience for our staff, catering to a wide range of experience levels—from teachers who were just beginning to explore AI to those who were already familiar with some of its applications. Cora and Dalton’s deep knowledge of AI and personable approach made the session both accessible and impactful.
The workshop provided us with introduction to various AI tools that can enhance student learning and classroom instruction. Cora and Dalton not only shared insights into how AI can be integrated into lesson planning and delivery but also gave us dedicated time to explore these tools and brainstorm ways to incorporate them into our teaching. This practical component was especially helpful, as it allowed us to immediately apply what we learned and leave the workshop with actionable ideas. One of the highlights was the collaborative atmosphere they fostered. Teachers were encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and work together to design lessons that embedded AI tools effectively.
We highly recommend Cora and Dalton if you’re looking to explore the integration of AI in your teaching and learning. Their workshop was engaging, informative, and practical. Thank you, Cora and Dalton, for getting us started in taking our teaching to the next level!
